Data protection
Last updated 29 September 2026
Parallel Architecture is a trading name of Robbie Thompson Design Ltd and James Nicholson Design Ltd, which act as data controllers for personal information handled through this website. Robbie Thompson Design Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZC231436. The contact for anything on this page is [email protected].
The privacy notice says what we collect and why. This page says where it is kept and how it is looked after.
Where information is kept
Email runs on Google Workspace. Project records and fee proposals are stored in Dropbox. A fee proposal accepted online travels over an encrypted connection to a program on Google's servers, which files it in Dropbox. The website has no database and keeps no personal information in its pages. The free tools work in your browser, and the planning constraints checker passes a postcode through the site's server code without keeping it.
How it is protected
Connections to this website, to the program that receives acceptances and to Dropbox are encrypted. The page the directors use to prepare fee proposals sits behind a Cloudflare sign-in that admits only the two directors, each with a one-time code sent to their email.
Requests about your information
You can ask for a copy of your personal information, ask for corrections, ask for deletion where the law allows, and object to or ask us to restrict how it is used. Email [email protected] and you will have an answer within one month. If you are unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If something goes wrong
If personal information is lost, exposed or altered in a way that risks harm, we contain the problem, work out who is affected, report it to the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours where the law requires it, and tell the people affected without undue delay what happened and what we are doing about it.
How long we keep information
The retention periods are in the privacy notice: up to two years for enquiries that do not lead to an appointment, and at least fifteen years for project records.
This page is reviewed every six months and whenever the systems it describes change.
