This website is published by Parallel Architecture, a trading name of two companies registered in England and Wales. Robbie Thompson Design Ltd is company 10355527, with its registered office at 7 Barossa Place, Bristol BS1 6SU, and VAT number GB 462879839. James Nicholson Design Ltd is company 13960890, with its registered office at Second Floor, Kirkland House, 11-15 Peterborough Road, Harrow, Middlesex HA1 2AX. The practice's email is [email protected]. These terms cover use of the website only.

Use of the site

The site is provided for general information about the practice and its work. Nothing on it is design advice for a specific site or project, and you should not rely on it as such; every project needs its own appraisal.

The free guides and tools give general guidance on the law in England, from published sources and the answers you enter. They cannot see your site, your deeds or the council's records, and they are not advice on your project. Using them does not create a professional relationship or a duty of care; only a signed appointment does. Check anything you intend to rely on with the council or a professional adviser.

Appointments

Sending an enquiry or receiving a fee proposal does not by itself create an appointment. Each appointment is made with one of the two companies, named in its fee proposal, and incorporates the published terms and conditions of appointment or, for CDM principal designer work, the CDM terms of appointment. Those terms govern the work. The terms and conditions of appointment set out a consumer client's right to cancel within 14 days.

A fee proposal can be accepted online through the personal link printed on it. The privacy notice sets out what the acceptance page records and where it goes.

Insurance

Robbie Thompson Design Ltd and James Nicholson Design Ltd each hold their own professional indemnity insurance. For an appointment, the insurance that applies is the one held by the company named in it. Details are available on request to [email protected].

Complaints

If something has gone wrong, email [email protected] with your project reference and what has happened.

Intellectual property

The content of this site, including text, drawings and the practice's name and marks, belongs to the practice or its licensors. Photography is credited to the photographers named on each project page and may not be reproduced without their permission and ours.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep the site available and accurate but do not guarantee either, and we may change or withdraw content at any time. To the extent permitted by law we accept no liability for loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
