The Set

A restaurant in Brighton, planned around a single L-shaped counter that wraps an open kitchen. The counter has a reeded timber front and a pale timber top, with woven-seat stools beneath black pendant lights.

Parallel surveyed the prospective site and advised the client on its risks and the direction of the project. The concept design answered the brief within the site's constraints, and the issues found on site set the spatial strategy. The kitchen design and the mechanical and electrical services were coordinated with the layout, and the design was carried from concept to the style and mood of the room, with drawings for site.
